Mixed Feelings About This Stay

musty odor peeling wallpaper
I encountered a distinct musty odor throughout the building. The carpets in the hallways seem quite worn and stained. Our room had peeling wallpaper. It was not very appealing. The shower head displayed noticeable mold, rather off-putting.

Acceptable stay with a few issues

castle proximity bus stop window blind roadside noise
I appreciated the proximity to Craigmillar Castle. It was a short walk and worth seeing (a real historical gem!). The bus stop was also conveniently close. It made getting around easier.
The room had some issues. The window blinds were not in great condition. I also found the roadside noise a bit disturbing, especially at night. It made sleeping difficult.
